Sustainably Grown Black Rice | 1 lb

Most rice grown in the U.S. comes from outside the Northeast — but Great Joy Family Farm in Pine Bush, NY is changing that. As one of the few farms in New York State cultivating rice without the use of pesticides, they’re setting a new standard for regional, sustainable grain production. Compared to brown rice, black rice contains significantly more antioxidants, especially anthocyanin's (the same compounds found in blueberries), along with higher levels of iron and fiber.
